The Union’s 2nd Annual Chocolate Infusion

If you like chocolate, wine, or Ludi Hinrichs, (or any combination of those) you will enjoy The Union’s 2nd Annual Chocolate Infusion on Sunday, January 26th from 1:00 to 4:30 pm inside the beautiful and historic Miners Foundry in Nevada City.

Everyone who attends gets to sample delicious chocolate creations including chocolate mousse, caramels, truffles, toffee, cakes and cookies (and so much more) from noted chocolatiers and chefs. Some of our vendors include Cello Chocolate (who makes their chocolate from the cocoa beans), Nevada City Chocolate Shoppe, Jim E’s Catering, Sierra Mountain Coffee Roasters, Broad Street Bistro, and The Truffle Shop. In addition to our local confectioners we have Cowboy Toffee, Amella Caramels, and Clarine’s Florentines coming up for this special event to share with you their amazing treats. Amella Caramels won the Best Caramels award at the Los Angeles Chocolate Salon, and Best Chocolatiers & Confectioners in America Award at the International Chocolate Salon in San Francisco. Clarine’s Florentines is also an award winner with a Best Chocolatiers & Confectioners in America Award at the International Chocolate Salon in San Francisco.

Attendees 21 or over will receive a souvenir wine glass for wine tasting. Several local wineries including Lucchesi, Solune and Avanguardia will be pouring tastes of their delicious wines throughout the afternoon. Ol’ Republic Brewery has partnered with Cello Chocolate to make a special chocolate stout that you can taste at Chocolate Infusion.

For your entertainment, the very popular Ludi Hinrichs will be returning again this year, playing the beautiful grand piano in the Stone Hall.

The Nevada City Chamber of Commerce is again the sponsor of the no-host Chocolate Martini Bar. All proceeds from the bar will go to the Nevada City Chamber.

Tess’ Kitchen Store will also be represented at Chocolate Infusion, and is our ticket sponsor. Every ticket has a $5 coupon for Tess’ on it.

Last year’s event was a sell-out, so you are encouraged to get your tickets soon. They are $20 in advance ($25 at the door) and include a souvenir wine glass, and all your samples. Tickets are available at The Union office, 464 Sutton Way, Grass Valley, at the BriarPatch in Grass Valley, or by calling (530) 273-9561.
