Our friends at Quady Winery open their winery every year around Valentine's day as part of the Madera Wine Trail. The event is a gastronomic dream date for you and your sweetheart, where toffee, wine, chocolate and love are in the air.
This years festivities include a plethora of pleasures including a milkshake made with Elysium Black Muscat Chocolate Sauce. Golden Valley Farm sheep cheeses artisanally made in Madera (some made with muscat grapes!) will be there selling their wares. Jessica Leon, of the Vineyard Restaurant will be making some delicious crepes for you to sample, and Fresno based Doug-Out Cookies will bringing a wonderful array of cookies.
Among our many flavors of toffee, for the event “Miss Bonnie” with it's white chocolate and lavender flavors, became a perfect pairing with Deviation, forming the ultimate love potion!*
* Deviation is not an actual “love potion” it is merely a deliciously sweet, fortified wine, aromatized with Damiana and Rose Geranium.
Speaking of the Purrfect Pair
Project Survival Cat Haven will either be bringing 2 new jaguar cubs or Tango the cheetah. Pawagraphed wine bottles will be available in our gift shop for a unique Valentine gift! "We B Smokin BBQ" will have lunches available, including what many call the best pulled pork bbq sandwich ever.
Perfect Blend Fine Cigars will be here to guide you to that perfect cigar for that aficionado in you life.

It’s time for the 21st Anniversary of the Calaveras Grape Stomp held in conjunction with the Gold Rush Street Faire!
Once again Cowboy Toffee Company will be there with all your favorite flavors. So, whether you want to get your feet wet with some grape juice or your taste buds tickled with amazing wines and Cowboy Toffee, the Grape stomp is the place to be.
Who, in their right mind, would dress up like Bacchus or Lucy Ricardo and jump up and down like a banshee in a wine barrel with 25 pounds of grapes? Answer: No one in his or her right mind.
Every first Saturday in October the historic town of Murphys transforms into a frenzy of activity with two renowned events – the Calaveras Grape Stomp and the Gold Rush Street Faire. Both events run simultaneously between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. and benefit Feeney Community Park on Highway 4 in Murphys.
The day’s events include energetic stomp competitions every half hour, live music in the gazebo, silent auction, BBQ, team costume contest, back and neck massage, children’s games and face painting, belly dancing performances, and wine tasting.
Just half a block away, shopping is to “live for” at the Annual Gold Rush Street Faire, as Main Street fills with over 100 booths of quality arts and crafts, antiques, handcrafted goods, jewelry, clothing, collectibles, and food booths, in addition to Murphys’ multitude of one-of-a-kind specialty shops. The event is hosted by the Feeney Park Foundation, and has been a valued tradition in Murphys for many years.
Held in picturesque downtown Murphys it’s a great day out for foodies, wine enthusiasts, thrill seekers, and antiquarians alike. Gold Rush Day gives everyone the rare pleasure of getting un-serious in a serious world. With all there is to see and do we hope you find yourself stopping by to indulge in some of Cowboy Toffee’s unique toffee flavors such as So Much Smore’s; our Smore’s Toffee for the kid in everyone or Miss Bonnie our Lavender and White Chocolate Toffee for the more refined palette as well as the spookiest Toffee ever Ghost Town.
One of Calaveras County’s most popular pair of events, the Grape Stomp and Gold Rush Street Faire guarantee a good time for all ages, and general admission is free.

Stop by our booth for some free samples of our mouthwatering toffee and the wine pairing recommendations to go with our candy. Yes, it’s true; our Toffee tastes even better when paired with the right wine! For example, our exquisite Miss Bonnie (white chocolate and lavender toffee) pairs amazingly well with a big buttery chardonnay. Whoever said English Toffee and Wine don’t go together has obviously never had our gourmet toffee. Smooth, delicate goodness which tastes so good it will break your heart not your teeth!!!
Chocolate Infusion was a pure delight! I highly recommend you attend next year! Plan early as it is limited to 400 or so people. The Miners Foundry is a beautiful venue and the locals gave us such a golden welcome we almost didn't want to leave. The many treats included tastings from local wineries with a bonus of chocolate infused wine. There was a smattering of delectables such as an amazing handmade Italian maple Bordeaux, avant garde infused raw chocolates, pure single source chocolates from around the world just to name a few. Of course there was live jazz, and unforgettable Chocolatini's! But our real gift was seeing everyone enjoying themselves and our Cowboy Toffee. As for being Wonkafied! (thank you Rob Lambert) while Cowboy Toffee Company was not named specifically (our Lavender Toffee Miss Bonnie was)Our beloved Oakdale got plugged two times as Cowboy Capital of the World! Which goes right along with our most quoted sayin' "Makin' Oakdale famous, one box at a time!" So to sum it up good times at the Chocolate Infusion Nevada City near Grass Valley.
